Dyspareunia
WHAT IS DYSPAREUNIA?
It is also known as coitalgia . It is the discomfort suffered by women during sexual intercourse (pain).
It includes various characteristics such as vaginal post-coital irritation and severe pain.
What are the causes of Dyspareunia?
They can have an organic origin: infectious agents, genital-urinary infections, allergic reactions to condoms, diaphragms, intrauterine devices (IUD), or spermicidal creams and on elder senile people, vaginitis.
Psychological origin: loss of interest towards the partner, which can cause an inadequate vaginal lubrication or lack of arousal during penetration.
